More about the workbook
Why forty days? Forty is one of the Bible's long numbers: the rain of the flood, Moses on the mountain, Jesus in the wilderness. Many churches also keep Lent as forty days of prayer and turning back to God. This workbook fits Lent well, but you can start on any day of the year.
You write a letter to yourself before Day 1 and a letter back after Day 40. Each part ends with a review page, and a progress tracker lets you tick off the days and the homes you have lit.
A six-session discussion guide is included, with questions for small groups and simpler "at the table" questions for parents to use with the whole household.
The workbook is written for Christians from many church traditions, Protestant and Catholic alike. It keeps to what most Christians share and avoids the questions that divide churches.
License: personal use for one person or household. Print as many copies as you need for your own use. The Pass the Light verse cards may be printed and given away freely. Please do not resell, share or upload the files.
