Advent 2026 begins on Sunday 29 November. This devotional gives your family a simple, ten-minute rhythm for the weeks before Christmas.

Each day has a Bible passage to read, a key verse printed on the page, a short reflection written to be read aloud, two open questions to talk about, a short prayer and an optional small activity using things you already have at home. On busy nights you can read the verse and one question and still keep the thread.

The readings follow the story that leads to the manger: creation and the first promise, Abraham, Ruth, David, the prophets, Zechariah and Elizabeth, Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and Christmas Day itself. A bonus page for Epiphany (6 January 2027) follows the wise men.

It is written for parents and carers to lead, and works with mixed ages. It is not tied to one church tradition. Scripture quotations are from the World English Bible, British Edition, which is in the public domain, and each passage is given as a reference so you can read it in the Bible you already use.

If you want to read the Bible with more attention but are not sure where to start, this kit gives you a few tried and tested methods and the pages to use them.

Each method has a one-page guide and a worked example: SOAP (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) using James 1:5, verse mapping using Psalm 119:105, and inductive study (observe, interpret, apply) with a bank of questions. Then print the study pages as often as you like for your own use.

No. Everything is a digital download. Nothing physical is shipped.

Is this a physical book?

No. It is a printable PDF you download after purchase. Print at home or at a local print shop.

What ages is it for?

It is written for parents to lead. The reflections are short and plain, so they work with mixed ages. For little ones, read the key verse and pick one question.

Which Bible translation does it use?

Printed verses are from the World English Bible, British Edition (public domain). Passages are given as references, so you can read from any translation.

Is it for a particular denomination?

It is written for Christian families in general. Candle names and colours vary between churches, and the guide says so. Use your church's pattern if it has one.

When should we start?

Light the first candle on Sunday 29 November 2026. Daily readings start on Tuesday 1 December.

Can I share it with my small group or church?

The licence covers one household. For groups, please buy one copy per household or get in touch about a group licence.

Do I need any special books?

No. A Bible and a pen are enough. A free online concordance helps with word studies.

Is it for beginners?

Yes. The guides are short and each has an example. People who already study will find the pages useful too.

Does the tracker include the deuterocanonical books?

The tracker follows the 66-book Bible used by most Protestant churches. There are blank lines at the end to add other books.

Can I print pages more than once?

Yes, as often as you like for your own personal use.

Can I use it with my small group?

Each member needs their own copy under the personal licence. Contact us about a group licence.

Is it a digital planner for tablets?

It is designed for printing. You can also open the PDF in an annotation app, but the pages do not have hyperlinks.
